Sally 55ft, 2 Berth

Sally has been under the care of the Furniss’s family for a number of years. Originally my uncle commissioned her to be built. She has been used by Peter and Bev for a number of years cruising much of the Inland waterways in England and Wales. They recently decided to draw their boating days to an end and offered Sally to ourselves, as parting with her was going to be such a wrench for them. They wished to keep her in the family if possible. We are now offering Sally for Long term Hire from 1 month up to 9 months allowing others to enjoy the waterways as Peter and Bev have.

Sally is a 55ft 2 berth narrowboat providing comfortable accommodation for extended cruising, she has a modern smooth and quiet low emission Beta marine engine. With a modern reverse layout the lounge area is at the stern and includes a cosy solid fuel stove for those cooler days. The galley includes a full size fixed cooker, fridge and all the inventory you could need. The bathroom houses a shower, wash hand basin and cassette toilet. A double bed and wardrobe are in the front cabin. She has a very efficient oil fired heating system providing plenty of heat and hot water. There is a 3KW invertor on board supplying 240V main power with solar panels to provide extra charging when you choose to cruise for shorter days.

Everything that is practical to make your holiday as enjoyable and comfortable as possible has been built in including a flat screen TV/DVD player, radio and CD player. The boat has large bow and stern cockpits for enjoying outside dinning or just taking in the views and relaxing in the pleasant countryside.

Even if you are a novice to canal boating you will be surprised at how easy it is to skipper the boat. We give you full practical instruction on both steering the boat and working the locks. We have no set time for this and we won't leave you until you are confident of how to handle the boat. We are renowned for our dedication in our boat handover instruction in particular for novices, this doesn’t stop after the first day of hire, Myself and Steph are always on hand at the end of the phone for support and advice.
